Job Overview

As a Course Instructor for our Business Intensive, you will facilitate live educational workshops for a cohort of ~20 students.

Our classroom is "flipped," meaning students complete readings and projects before the live workshops. As a result, workshop time is allocated toward solving cases, engaging in group discussions, and reviewing student projects.

We will provide you with best-in-class course material, student exercises and lessons plan. Your role is to draw on our material and your own experiences to facilitate an engaging and rewarding experience for students.

A typical week can look like:

• Prep: You'll want to brush up on the course material for the week, familiarize yourself with the lesson plan, and review our guidelines. If this week's subject area is not your core competency, prep can take up to 2.5 hours per workshop. If you are familiar with the subject area or have taught the class for multiple cohorts, this takes 30 minutes per workshop. 1-5 hours per week.
• Facilitation: Our main workshops are on the weekends at noon. They are 1.5 hours each on Saturday and Sunday. There is a group Office Hours on Wednesdays for 30 minutes as well. 3.5 hours per week.
• Student Support: Occasionally, students will drop in questions in the Slack channel or email you directly about the course material. You will be expected to respond. 1-1.5 hours per week.
