ingredients:
- [ ] 2 cups all-purpose flour
- [ ] 1/2 tsp. salt
- [ ] 1/3 cup sugar
- [ ] 1 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
- [ ] 1 tsp. baking soda
- [ ] zest one lemon
- [ ] one stick of grated butter (leave it cold)
- [ ] 1 cup of blueberries (frozen work well)
- [ ] 1/4 cup milk
- [ ] 1/2 cup sour crem
- [ ] 1 egg
- [ ] 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- [ ] frosting
- [ ] 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- [ ] 3 tbsp. 1% milk
- [ ] 1 cup of confectioners sugar
- [ ] sprinkles and blue food coloring to your liking (optional)
directions:
- work the dry ingredients together with butter (first 7 ingredients) then put in freezer while working the rest of the ingredients.
- whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, sour cream.
- mix dry and wet ingredients by folding them together. mix in frozen blueberries.
- put on parchment paper into a circle then cut like a pizza. put them in the freezer for 30 mins.
- preheat the oven to 400*F. brush scones with heavy cream and bake for 15-20 mins.
