👋 Hi, I’m Maria - a seasoned marketer, content creator, podcast host, interviewer and speaker with 13 years of experience in marketing, media, branding, and PR.

While I had been investing in crypto since 2017, I transitioned my career in journalism and web2 marketing to the blockchain space in 2019, diving in full-time.
Since then, I worked as a Head of Marketing at two L1 protocols, Lisk and Tender, launched a web3 game as a founding marketer and did plenty of consulting for web3 projects on branding, marketing and positioning.
My goal in web3 is to use my marketing, leadership, speaking and content creation skills to accelerate growth and adoption for meaningful projects.
Here is a brief breakdown of my work.

CONTENT CREATION: I’m experienced in creating different kinds of content from scratch: short-form video content for X (teasers, recaps, interviews) and long-form YouTube videos, written content (blog posts, articles, threads, press-releases etc.), video scripts, AI-generated imagery, photos.
In crypto, I’ve launched two podcasts: Onchain Growth Club and Renegade Science. The latter is focused on deeptech and innovation, but featured many DeSci guests.
MARKETING CAMPAIGNS: My marketing campaigns have regularly reached audiences of 200M+. However, the biggest success that I had was a viral challenge for an FMCG brand Yummy United that received over 2.5B views on TikTok.
Campaigns I created for Lisk resulted in 150,000 community growth, 250% raise of to the token price growth in one year and helped the company to successfully transition from L1 to L2 on Ethereum.
I’ve also helped a DeSci DAO Curetopia to prepare strategic marketing plan for the token launch and, as a result, they raised $2M through bio.xyz.
BRANDING: I’ve launched more than 30 international and local brands in different industries: pharma, automotive industry, SaaS, FMCG, real estate, e-commerce.
During my time at Lisk, I led four branding projects, including the rebranding of the Lisk protocol and Lisk Foundation.
MARKETING LEADERSHIP: I've worked as Head of Marketing/CMO five times and managed teams ranging from 2 to 30 members. My roles apart from leading a team and working directly with stakeholders also included a fair share of operational work (I’m a playing coach, not just a strategic general).
A key insight I've gained through my work as a marketing lead is that high-performing marketing teams are essentially built on trust and obsession with customer.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: I have experience working in fast-paced startups with global teams, collaborating across 4 time zones simultaneously. As a seasoned remote worker, I like to be a part of an organized, professional team that communicates clearly and is open to creative experiments. I don’t micromanage my teams and I don’t like to be micromanaged.
I'd love to join a web3 project that needs an experienced marketing lead to build and manage an in-house team. It would be great if position also involved frequent travel and connecting with many people.
