While the studio can comfortably accommodate an ensemble up to 10 musicians, please allow for floor space to be taken up by camera equipment. For a traditional multi-camera shoot, we recommend that a group of up to 6 musicians can be accommodated for. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss options.

The live room ceiling is fitted with a scaffolding rig for lighting, equipped with 13A power.

Live room artist monitoring

In order to achieve the best sounding recording, we aim to get the instruments as balanced in the room as possible and use monitors to fill in where needed. This means we usually only monitor vocals and line instruments, such as keyboards, to keep the volume in the studio under control.

We provide 2 active speaker wedges for artist monitoring, more can be hired in upon request. We are able to provide up to 8 different artist mixes for use with in-ear monitors.

Recording Equipment

We have a large collection of recording equipment and instruments available for use. Please see our equipment spec for more details.

Piano

John Broadwood & Sons Barless Grand Piano. Vintage (c.1900) piano with a lovely mellow tone. We recommend booking a piano tuner for sessions, at a cost of £80.
