A builder at heart who's excited about joining a startup - and growing with it. You'll be our second hire, and will deeply influence Fluent's journey. We'll give you autonomy (and responsibility) on engineering decisions, and product decisions too. We care deeply about building a product our users love. Like us, you value intellectual honesty - and are willing to point out, then problem-solve your way out of uncomfortable realities. You love learning, sharing what you've learned, and constant personal growth - one of the most addicting parts of building a startup. As startups grow, opportunities to dig-in and become an expert in new fields constantly appear. If something interests you (from our NLP-tech, to our growth efforts, to linguistics research), and moves Fluent closer to achieving its mission, we'll encourage you to chase it. You may start as an engineer, and end up leading our NLP team. Or become a senior individual contributor. Up to you!
Many of the best builders want to create their own thing one day. We want you to grow with us, but if it becomes time for you to create your own thing, we'll support you as much as we can. We'll introduce you to our advisors and mentors, get you meetings with our investors, and otherwise do everything we can to help.
If you join us, you'll be joining a tight-knit crew of four co-founders who've known each other for years. Two of us are college drop-outs (we don't place unnecessary value on credentials or accreditation), and all of us are 1st or 2nd generation immigrants. We'll do everything we possibly can to make you feel at home at Fluent. We'll work crazy hours together, but it will be crazy rewarding - promise.

Founding Engineer
Full-time
You'll primarily be working with Yaniv (our CTO - guy on the left in the pic) to build user-facing features on the front end. We work fast and often have to learn on the spot since a lot of what we want to do is fairly new or never been done before! You'll also help out where you can on the back-end, and with dev ops.
