For cure.fit app (As part of recruitment process)

Design Brief

Redesign the existing workout detail section in order to ensure a better experience through a seamless & hassle-free booking flow so that the users can book their workout session as per their requirement.

Steps of the process

  1. Analysis : Analyzing the existing section

  2. Define User : Understanding the type of users & their individual need.

  3. Information Hierarchy : Understanding the information hierarchy/architecture

  4. Action : Understanding & defining the relevance of information points, design elements and actions based on the user requirement.

  5. Planning : Designing low fidelity wire frame to define area allotment/action and relevant ground for each element/action.

  6. Prototype : Designing a high fidelity prototype which give a clarity from each n every point.

  7. Analysis :

My 1st course of action in design process.

I started by analyzing the existing workout section/page in the mobile app and tried to understand the requirement of the section/page.

It was observed that there are multiple sections or pages where the same information has been reflected in different formats in the current application. The screenshots of such sections are added below for better understanding.

The above two sections reflect the same information in two different versions.

    To elaborate,

Screenshot A shows people who are the visiting or users who have not subscribed to any cult package. It has been observed that the link of this page mentioned on the home/main page of application as well.

while, the Screenshot B is another version of the same workout detail page/section which is reflected when the user selects any specific timeslot for his/her workout.

Conclusion : Instead of showing multiple variations of the same workout, we can build a consolidated version of the workout page/section which would fulfil the user needs & give him/her a better experience. It will also ensure an user friendly application by eliminating the unwanted pages.

2. Define User

Based on the user journey of cure.fit app, website and overall brand understanding, I have segregated the users in two categories:

A. Hunters : A group of target audience or registered users who book workout sessions frequently on cure fit app. The majority of this group is aware of the product flow and actions and are relatively friendly with the system.

B. Explorers : This is a mix group of new users, registered, unregistered and new visitors. But based on my previous experience, the number of such people is much higher in number. Infact, many a times, the registered users also enter use this category to explore the brands/services/products.

Conclusion : Based on my conclusion in point (1), we need to redesign the existing sections into a single workout page/section. We also need to take care of the users falling in both the categories. Therefore, we need to build a common page/section that caters to the needs of these two kinds of users (Hunters & Explorers).

3. Information Hierarchy

A. Existing hierarchy in Category (A)

B. Existing hierarchy in category (B)
