This is an application for managing smart intercoms and barriers. It is also possible to watch the broadcast from the yard cameras and see the readings of smart meters.
I was lucky to work on this project and greatly impact both our users and our team.
Current one-page navigation limited further development of the app functionality.
As a passionate advocate of well-established design patterns (I’m the author of an article 32 design differences between iOS and Android apps), I decided to use the Tab bar and the Bottom Navigation Bar as the top-level navigation.
I placed on the main tab the following features: quick access to cameras, doors opening, and creating a guest code. The second tab is for an overview of all available services. The third tab is the history of events. In the old version, the history was located deep in the app. We placed this important feature on the top level of navigation. The fourth column is a classic profile with personal information, support, and log-out.
I also took the initiative to create a well-thought Ui Kit and sync it with our devs.
