by Anceu Coliving
It is an open-source resource so that any community can copy and redefine. The goal is that every time there are more and more spaces where "animals" can live together.
Anceu is our home. A home built by the people who co-live in it.
We designed this manifesto with our colivers. It has been created by Ben and Fabienne, John, Curro, Rosa, Agustin, and Africa. It is born from the experience of living more than two months together with our dogs in the coliving. We have the trainer Olalla from Ada Intervenciones Caninas, with us. Because we want to live together most harmonically, understanding our animals and people.
It is an organic document. It is flexible. This is how we understand our life with our animals and with our community.
Integration period: building herd
- During the first week that a new doggy member arrives, we like to organize doggy walks to create a pack. We let you know through slack.
- Each new doggy is the responsibility of each owner, that's why, especially in the first weeks, we ask you to be responsible for knowing where your dog is. It may help to use the leash or whatever way is easier for you to check where your dog is.
- Like people, every dog has a different personality. On your first day, tell us what are their characteristics and the best practices to help them integrate.
- On Anceu Inn's wall, share information about your dog so we can get to know it better and facilitate its integration into the herd. We want to know more about its history, special behavioral needs, its weaknesses...
Responsible owners, happy dog
- Before arriving, please answer this form so we know how to make your dog happy at Anceu.
- Shared drinking bowls are available throughout the coliving. Refill them if you see them empty.
- Help our pets not to access dog-free zones.
- Food can be a source of problems. Use your room or spaces without other dogs to feed your pet.
- Do not feed other dogs without asking their owners.
- Do not leave food around to avoid conflicts in our pack.
- Avoid playing with dogs and food, it is usually a source of problems.
- Pick up your dog's poop.
- Clean up its pee.
