- Early morning prep to get Michelle sent off to Karuizawa station for her trip to Tokyo (ooooh-la-la)
- We got ourselves into the car and headed out to Karuizawa station! Lim driving
- Dropped Michelle off at the station and then headed to Maruyama coffee
- Parked in the lot super early and walked by a cool bakery/cafe called Sawamura toward Maruyama coffee
- Lim and Megumi buying hella coffee grounds
- Also got coffee and coffee soft serve for Lim and Arbor 😋
- Stepped outside and sat at a table next to the flowing water. It was getting so warm and sunny, what a beautiful day!
- We walked over to the Sawamura cafe and decided to try something from them. Megumi got 4 different things, and I got a regular croissant and anchovy croissant. ANCHOVY CROISSANT IS FUCKIN OP

- Went back and sat at the table near the water again, and enjoyed the beautiful day with delicious baked morsels
- Decided to walk to the next bakery called Haluta and leave the car at Maruyama. When we got there, it was called something different. Found out that the original owners created Haluta and then went somewhere else to create similar bakery, and then came back and renamed it to Mel. Arbor bought the Asama and their signature cinnamon roll and they’re both epic. Before heading back, we took a look across the street at a vintage clothing store with tons of neat items like surplus US military fatigues and flashy bomber jackets from Alaska. Arbor checked out some sweet spider-webby boots
- Walked back toward the car and stopped at 7-Eleven on the way, then attempted to go to a local soba shop, Yukawa, that had horse sushi, but it was closed.
- We left and went to park nearby the Karuizawa Kogen Church and Stone Church. We tried visiting both but… it’s wedding season and weddings were being held in both venues, so we could not visit! But we could at least walk up a side route and view the Stone Church from afar.
