I spent the majority of the previous year away from home, so when I returned home today, it seemed really different. I keep making comparisons between life here and life in the city.

Rural Indians have a very different perspective on time than urban Indians do; they don't have a hustling culture and don't ask themselves why they should spend an hour of their lives making something they can order in a minute. They live peaceful lives and are content with whatever they accomplish. For many individuals, spending a day doing preparations for the evening puja is therapeutic.

People in cities live in a bubble, and when the bubble bursts, they claim that we are in a depression. Everything is determined by life's speed. While folks in the villages are content doing whatever they are doing throughout the week, urban folks who don't get a weekend escape will go insane. Even though they don't make as much money as city workers in corporations, they are content and don't experience the Monday blues.

I'm not attempting to argue that one way of life is superior to another; rather, I'm just trying to express my opinions and encourage people to spend at least a little bit of time living in a village.
