In taking any direct action toward attending the retreat, including completing an online reservation/booking, making payment for this retreat, or by attending the retreat, you accept the below Terms and Conditions as a binding contract between the owners of Holistic Essence Retreats, Katrina Martinez & Victoria Cumberbatch (sometimes also referred to as “KV”) and you (hereinafter referred to as “you” or “I”).
It is imperative that we have your valid email address. If you change your primary email address, we ask that you inform us immediately. We correspond by primarily by email. Once your booking has been made and we have received your deposit, all official correspondence is by email. We will also email you all necessary information that will be required to get to the retreat location as well as any virtual meetups in advance.
Bookings can happen exclusively on our WeTravel page. Upon booking + confirmation, we charge $500 deposit along with an option for a payment plan for any level of accommodation.
Air travel is not included and you will have to get to the Dominican Republic on your own. As long as you arrive on the start date and by a certain hour (which will be listed in the official emails leading up to the retreat), you will be provided transport from the airport to the retreat location in Matanzas, DR in a shuttle with other attendees.
Your deposit is non refundable. There will be no refunds released in the 14 days prior to the retreat start date for any reason. We are open to discussing extenuating circumstances that arise between the placement of your deposit and the start date of the retreat; please reach out to us directly to discuss should this occur. We do recommend that you obtain travel insurance; particularly in these tumultuous post pandemic times where international travel is simply not how it used to be. We ask that you understand that this refund policy is in place because with your booking we reserve room, meals, facilitators, and other expenses for each retreat attendee. Please understand that fees paid with an authorized credit or debit card payment are not subject to a right by you to a credit/debit card refund or chargeback after signup. By making the payment, you confirm that you are authorized to make the payment using your card. If you later dispute the charges, you agree not to cancel, revoke, charge back or dispute any previously entered charge on your credit card. If you do so, and it is later determined that the charge was properly authorized, you agree to pay all out-of-pocket fees and costs incurred by KV as a result of the improper cancellation, revocation, charge back or dispute.
KV recommends that you take out appropriate and robust travel insurance, including cover for medical treatment, accidents, repatriation, and/or cancellation. You are responsible for arranging, or ensuring that you have adequate and comprehensive travel insurance. It’s best to include coverage for illness, personal injury and/or travel delays or cancellations. We suggest that such a policy is in force before you depart. Often, we will engage in photography and videography throughout the duration of the retreat in order to be used as marketing for our website, social media account [Instagram, Pintrest, Twitter, Facebook] and promotional material, including as advertising. You agree to have your photographs taken and if you are not, please let us know directly prior to the start of the retreat. You consent to the use of any photographs, pictures, or video taken of you for publicity, promotion, social media, and expressly waive any right of privacy, compensation, copyright or other ownership right.
