Why do we need to publish a Zoom app?

We need to publish the Zoom app because, by default, it can only join internal meetings. Zoom’s policy does not allow it to join external meetings unless the app is officially published. Publishing the app sends it to Zoom for review from both a functional and technical perspective, ensuring it meets their requirements and allowing it to be used for external meeting access.

Based on Zoom it may takes up to 4 weeks, but based on personal experience it could take less than a week.

Detailed steps

1. Navigate to the Zoom Marketplace and create an account.

If you’re a company employee, you should not use your personal account, because the app will be removed if your account is deleted https://marketplace.zoom.us/

2. Click develop in the header tab.

3. Click on Build app and choose General App.

4. Go to production tab in your application page.
