At Zen, we’re on a mission to free the world of physical and mental pain.
We envision a world where technology empowers people to be mentally and physically free.
We've started by building award-winning posture awareness software applications that gently nudges users when they slouch.
We have tens of thousands of users and have raised $3.5M from top-tier investors, including Y Combinator, Valor Equity Partners, and more.
To go to the next level, we are on a mission to hire a diverse community of people who share a commitment to achieving excellence in their respective lines of work and are excited about the rare opportunity to make an early impact at a high-growth startup.
Are you ready to free the world?
Daniel went from being a very active NCAA Division-One college football player at Yale University (that could do a gymnastic-style split) to working at Adobe in San Francisco and living the typical sedentary corporate lifestyle of sitting in front of a computer for over eight hours a day, which eventually led to him developing serious low back pain and carpal tunnel.
Alex started coding when he was 11 years old, spending time in engineering roles at places like Adobe, Intuit, and eventually developed a severe case of "Forward Head Posture" (Nerd/Text Neck), a postural deformity that's often caused by unhealthy posture habits (like slouching while coding).
They met each other a few years ago while working in San Francisco and eventually came together to build Zen alongside top ergonomists and physical therapists so that they could help people live a pain-free life.

Growth Mindset
Having a growth mindset means that you believe that intelligence can be developed, which leads to a desire to learn and, therefore a tendency to embrace challenges, persist in the face of setbacks, see effort as the path to mastery, learn from criticism, and find lessons and inspiration in the success of others.
A growth mindset enables higher levels of achievement and freedom than a fixed mindset and will empower us to free the world.
