Comment BRIEFING to get this sent to your DMs.

Your Daily Brief runs on autopilot. One project, as many newsletters as you want, each delivering exactly what you asked for — no interaction, no waiting, fully scheduled.

How it works

One project holds your identity and your template. You set it up once and never touch it again.

One task per newsletter. Each task has your topic and your desired output baked in. It runs on its own schedule and saves a dated HTML file wherever you choose. Add as many tasks as you like — AI briefing on Mondays, marketing newsletter on Wednesdays, sports digest on Fridays. Each one independent, each one automated.

Step 0 — Build your Project Instructions

Go to claude.ai (regular chat, not Cowork) and paste this. Claude will ask you six questions and write your Project Instructions block — ready to copy-paste into Cowork.

I want to set up a personalised daily briefing using Claude Cowork.
Help me build my Project Instructions block.

Ask me these questions one at a time and wait for my answer each time:

1. What's your name?
2. What do you do? (e.g. marketer, journalist, HR manager, founder,
student, content creator — describe yourself in your own words)
3. What's your background and what do you care about?
A sentence or two, like you're introducing yourself to a smart friend.
4. What tone do you prefer?
(e.g. warm and conversational, punchy and direct,
detailed and analytical, casual and friendly)

Once I've answered all four, write me a Project Instructions block
for Cowork. It must include:
— A short description of who I am and what I care about
— My preferred tone
— These lines exactly at the end:

"Always write in plain English. No jargon or acronyms without explanation.
Always include source names and URLs for every claim or statistic.
Prioritise stories from the last 48–72 hours.
My template file is called daily-brief-template.html."

Format it as plain text I can copy directly into Cowork.

Step 1 — Save the template

  1. Download the Daily Brief HTML template from the link in the video
  2. Save it somewhere you'll remember — filename must be exactly: daily-brief-template.html

Step 2 — Create your Cowork Project

  1. Open Claude Cowork → click New Project
  2. Name it: My Briefings
  3. Paste your Project Instructions block (from Step 0) into the Project Instructions box
  4. Done. Never touch this again.
