The time had come for Haku and Rahdis — the unlikely fighting pair who were formerly year-long rivals — to face off against Red Hot & Deep Blue: The Xtremes. The match that opened the hardened boughs of their relationship, and their hearts finally blooming in a time of change and hardship.

This pivotal fight alone challenged the wolf and tiger, testing their limits and their trust in one another, to come out on top. But they did not leave that arena unscathed. While Rahdis was saved by Deep Blue’s threatening tidal wave, and vice versa with Rahdis saving Haku with Red Hot’s lava walls, the trauma from Haku’s past gripped him, paralyzed him, and dared swallow him whole again from the ordeal. Rahdis chooses to check on his teammate this time round after Haku wasn’t to be seen for a few days. The two have a heart to heart which leads to Haku’s inner desperate thoughts, and a steamy conclusion.

Red and blue blurs dashed by him, leaping and bounding about the arena with lightning speeds and destructive force. The colossal tidal wave that threatened the consume the entire room, echoed laughs ringing in his ears from afar. It was poised to strike them both.

"RAHDIS!!"

Haku yells at his partner, dashing towards him with a panicked haste. He could see the fear cripple Rahdis as the giant wave of water made a beeline for him. Not a moment sooner, Haku made it to his fighting companion, grasped him by the scruff of his shirt, and with all his might flung him up into the rafters where he was safe. Deep Blue's tidal wave crashed into Haku causing him to tumble and tumble, his blessing from the Blue Kojin gifting him breath under the water. The strength from the current rattled his body, slamming it to the ground as he swiftly whips his head around to refocus his senses.

Rahdis was safe. That was all that mattered.

As the electrope charged walls drained the water and made the arena clear again, Red Hot gave no quarter and zero chance for Haku to recover from the weight of Deep Blue's attack. Pools of lava surrounded him on the floor and fire took the place of water, swelling and coiling around him. Haku's heart suddenly quickened and his eyes widened in his own shackling fear. He felt the heat lick at his heels, and when the fire wasted no time to leap at him to claim him, Haku screamed.
