Xbox models from Xbox One forward have built-in screen recording and streaming functionality. There are two reliable strategies for capturing gameplay videos on an Xbox One. One is through the Capture & Share function, and the other is by streaming via the Twitch app. For older (pre-2013) models, you will need a capture card or other workaround. See Universal Solutions for more detail.

Capture & Share uses Xbox’s built-in recording and storage functionality to create and save videos of your gameplay. They can be up to an hour long, depending on how much storage space you have. We recommend recording to an external USB drive. You then transfer those videos to desktop by plugging the USB drive into a computer or using or Xbox Live and Windows 10.
