The Metaverse, the latest hot topic in VR, is also making waves in Japan—in the country’s own unique ways. Various efforts and initiatives can already be seen in the field, such as the recreation of locales from popular anime/manga, or the virtualization of real-life cities and conventions led by the cities themselves. The inaugural XR Kaigi mini will focus on these efforts, inviting the industry’s top players to present and discuss their projects.
