π§ Writing Feature β Definition
The Writing Feature enables district teams to move from RFP upload β AI writing plan β complete, collaborative grant draft within one unified workspace.
It combines structured reasoning (plan generation) with adaptive co-writing (live drafting + user feedback loops).
π― Core Objective
To help district administrators go from a raw RFP to a polished, compliant, and district-tailored grant proposal using AI that collaborates, asks clarifying questions, and writes to plan.
𧩠User Flow
1. Identify the Grant
- The user selects a grant from our system (via the Grants Search / Bookmarks modules) or uploads one manually.
- The user provides the RFP document (PDF, DOCX, or pasted text).
2. RFP Parsing
- The AI agent parses the RFP and extracts:
- Sections, subsections, tables, charts, and formatting structure.
- Key requirements, deadlines, and compliance details.
- Evaluation criteria and funder language patterns.
3. Context Gathering
-
The agent cross-references the District Profile and existing data (e.g., demographics, budget data, prior grant language).
-
If additional inputs are missing, the agent asks the user:
βPlease upload your most recent Title I report or district improvement plan for context on student performance.β
4. Writing Plan Generation
- The agent produces a structured writing plan, including:
- Outline of all sections/subsections required by the RFP.
- Notes on tone, length, data requirements, and visuals (charts/tables).
5. User Review & Editing
- The user reviews and can:
- Approve the plan, or
- Modify it, e.g., reorder sections, exclude content, or add new materials.
