Writer's Codex is a micro tool designed for writers who need to validate and edit their manuscripts while listening to them read aloud. Originally created to assist visually impaired writers, this multi-sensory approach combines audio feedback with highly customizable visual settings to help catch errors that might be missed by eyes alone.

🎙️ Text-to-Speech Engine

The READ function uses Microsoft's TTS API to read your manuscript aloud from the current cursor position.

Features:

• Voice Selection: Choose from all available system voices, with automatic preference for Natural/Online voices
• Speed Control: Adjust reading speed from 0.5x to 2x with a slider
• Smart Highlighting: The current word is highlighted as it's being read
• Auto-Scroll: The editor automatically scrolls to keep the currently-read word visible
• Pause/Resume: Press the READ shortcut again to pause or resume
