After a spontaneous and shocking visit from his long time rival, Haku, X’rahdis visits his sponsor Demjin to inquire about the authenticity of the travel tickets Haku gave him.

He went straight to the big desk in the middle of the room and didn’t even wait until the other blond Miqo’te looked up at him from his paperwork.

“What is this?” Rahdis asked, holding a tiny, delicate pearl on his open palm towards the merchant.

Rahdis could have asked any other soul about it but one of his sponsors, who was a smart yet annoying bitch, was his best try. Besides, he would need to inform him of his plans to be away from the city and the arena soon anyway.

Demjin hadn’t even looked at Rahdis when he came in, not even spared the tall, muscly man a glance until he was at his desk and posing his question. With an overly loud sigh, which made clear that he wasn’t fond of being disturbed, he looked up and put his quill away he was using to write calculations into a book.

Demjin's brows furrowed and he took his time looking into Rahdis’ handsome face first.

“Good day to you, too, X’rahdis. What a nice day to see your pretty, grumpy face.” He spoke calmly and fearlessly, still trying to instill some manners into the oaf.

Rahdis’ face just became grumpier which made Demjin’s golden eyes light up. He loved to see Rahdis keep his retorts to himself because he damn well knew it wasn’t a good idea to get on the bad side of his sponsor.

“A linkpearl?!” Demjin exclaimed when he finally noticed what Rahdis showed him. “Where did you get that thing from?”

“How do I use it?” The dark-haired kept asking a little impatiently.

The smaller, lean miqo’te stood up and walked around his desk. His ears wiggled, interested and curious. He lifted his hand to pick the thing out of Rahdis’ palm, hesitated shortly because he expected him to pull it away, but as Rahdis didn’t, Demjin took the linkpearl and looked at it. Those things were expensive!
