2nd Level – Arcane Investigation

You excel at drawing actionable insights from magical detection.

• You learn Detect Magic if you don’t already know it.
• When you cast Detect Magic, Identify, or succeed on an Arcana check to learn about a magical effect, you can also learn one additional piece of information from the DM’s choice:
  • The school of magic of the effect’s source.
  • Whether it is native to the environment or imposed from elsewhere.
  • Whether it is stable or unstable (GM’s discretion on what that means in context).
• Once per long rest when you cast Detect Magic or Identify, you can ask the DM one direct yes/no question about the magic in question. The DM must answer truthfully, though the answer may be brief.

6th Level – Arcane Regulation

You can apply legalistic pressure to magical and supernatural effects.

• When you hit a creature with a spell that deals damage, or you successfully end or interrupt a spell with Counterspell or Dispel Magic, the creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be regulated until the start of your next turn.
• While regulated, savings throws against your spells are made at disadvantage, and the creature has disadvantage on Concentration checks. You can do this a number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus.
• Whenever you successfully Counterspell or Dispel Magic, you can choose to have the target take force damage equal to your Intelligence modifier, and you may move them 5 feet in a direction of your choice.

10th Level – Arcane Authority

You command the battlefield with the weight of magical law.

Aura of Authority.

• When you concentrate on a spell, you can choose to project a 15‑foot aura of authority.
• While inside the aura:
  • Spells cast by other spellcasters inside the have their adequate level reduced by 1. Cantrips have no effect.
  • Creatures you choose gain advantage on saving throws vs spells.
• You can activate this aura once per long rest, and it does not require additional concentration beyond the spell you’re already maintaining.
