“Clarity is kindness.”

At WunderGraph, transparency is at the core of how we work. Rather than painting an overly polished picture, we believe in giving you a real, honest view of what it's like to work here, what’s great, what’s challenging, and what to genuinely expect.
💔 Why Might You Not Thrive Here?
- You need a physical office or prefer onsite teams.
We're fully remote and async-first. If in-person collaboration is a must for your productivity or happiness, this setup might not work well for you.
- You’re uncomfortable with open communication or sharing context.
We default to transparency. If you dislike documenting your work, being asked questions or speaking openly about potential issues and problems (and receiving equally direct feedback), it’ll be hard to stay on top of things here. We are at heart a global culture, and we communicate by asking questions and getting to the bottom of things.
- You prefer waiting for permission rather than taking action.
We make fast decisions and own the outcomes (fame and blame alike). If you’re hesitant to act without detailed approval or struggle with ambiguity, this might not be the right environment.
- You prefer meetings for everything, virtual coffee breaks etc
We use dailies for speedy alignment and getting unblocked, and Slack huddles for high-signal moments and decision making. Most of our work happens asynchronously, so if you need constant real-time communication, it could feel isolating or slow. Equally, if you are junior in your career and need a lot of handholding, right now might not be the best time to join us.
- You rely on slides to do the talking.
We value storytelling and clarity. If you prefer to let slides speak for you rather than communicating your ideas directly and clearly, your message might not land.
- Work-life balance is more important than the mission
If you are looking for a 9 - 5 job that simply gets your bills paid, WunderGraph is not for you. We offer a lot of flexibility so you can spend quality time with family and friends, but this only works if we all move the needle and get stuff done. If you don’t feel the need and drive to build something extraordinary with a team of A players, you won’t be happy.
- You shy away from discussing failure.
We share learnings openly, especially the tough ones. If you’re not willing to reflect transparently or see mistakes as growth opportunities, our culture of learning may clash.
- You’re okay with “good enough.”
We have high standards and want to keep us a top team. If you're not motivated to continually improve, deliver your best work and to leave the comfort zone, you may find yourself out of sync with the rest of the team, or falling behind.
- You’re not interested in personal growth.
We evolve fast, and we expect our people to grow with us. If you’re looking for comfort or a smooth sailing over challenge and learning, this may not be the right fit.
- You take things personally or assume the worst.
Remote work requires generosity of intent. If you’re easily offended by blunt messages or assume malice before seeking clarity, collaboration will be hard. We always assume best intent and try to remember we all come from different backgrounds.
- You give or tolerate disrespect.
We do not accept blame, ego, or non-constructive criticism. If you struggle to give or receive feedback respectfully, you won’t thrive here.
- You prioritize your own spotlight over the team’s success.
We win together. If you're not willing to collaborate, share credit, and sometimes take a step back for the team, our culture will feel misaligned. We do not celebrate lone wolf heroics, we like to see people lifting each other up.
