Wiley is an original fan character for the *Don't Starve* franchise created by Klei Entertainment and is supposed be one of the playable characters in Don't Starve Together (DST). He was created on October 30th, 2020. He is a former servant to **[Charlie](https://dontstarve.fandom.com/wiki/Charlie#:~:text=Charlie%2C otherwise known as the,of Don't Starve Together.)** and a redeemed traitor with a mischievous streak trying to prove his worth. He is the husband of Weaver and friend to Whisper, Wiverna, and Waylon. Wiley used to be a villainous NPC that became available to players some time after the introduction of Weaver and The Lodger. Like Wormwood and Wurt, he needs to be unlocked, either by purchasing the Wiley Chest or Wiley Deluxe Chest, or by weaving him with 3000 Spools.

Spontaneously brought into existence, Wiley had known one purpose and one alone. Trickery. Deceit. Malice. Whatever name you wanted to put to it, his Queen commanded. His job was simple: blend into the survivors and make their lives a living Hell. He was to sow discord, to set fire to all they had worked for, to make them give up and relinquish themselves to death. It was something he had prided himself on and nothing had brought him more pleasure than watching a well placed plan unfold. Or, so he thought. All he had wanted was to do his job well. To be of purpose to his Queen. To make his worth known in the Constant. But he had never expected someone new to come along and turn his black and white world into one of color.
Wiley has the unique advantage of being a living shadow crafted at the hands of Charlie, providing him with a variety of useful tools. At the expense of hunger, Wiley can teleport between shadows, manipulate Shadow Creatures, and create powerful attacks. Wiley is immune to the sanity drain of Night and Dusk unless in complete darkness, where he gains a massive decrease. His immunity also applies to the sanity aura of Shadow Creatures.
