What is remote

Remote work is an approach to work, not just 'working from home'.

Here are some principles of remote work:

• Hiring and working from most places instead of from a central location
• Flexible working hours over set working hours
• The results of work over the hours put in
• Asynchronous communication over synchronous communication
• Public sharing of information over need-to-know access

Why remote

We believe remote work is a competitive advantage, not a cost-saving exercise.

We are convinced that 'Aula as a remote team' would win against 'Aula as office-based team'.

Know the game Top Trumps? Each person draws a card like the above and decides the spec to compete on (e.g. 'Speed!'). We think Aula remote would win on pretty much all specs.
