Problem Many final year engineering students don't know what are the skills required to be obtained to get internships. They just go to internshala and keep applying for internships and they get none at the end. While some extend their period of internship up to a year by first getting training for it for first half and other half for real internship. Many of them get this through their college campus placement centre and then they just get a low stipend because of this. This is also the time where many people get pressurized as they don't even get a proper internship let alone job.
Why does this happen? This happens because there is no good structure of learning.Majority of the final year engineering students get pressurized and make some rash decisions like just learning theory stuff but when it comes to the interview round they just get nervous and then don't even answer basic questions properly. Many even apply late for the internships while companies expect them to apply in 2nd or 3rd year and that is the reason many end up extending their internship period up to a year.Poor resumes are another reason why they don't get selected for internships.
What they feel There is a lot of fear mongering amongst them and this leads to stress, depression and anxiety on whether they will get a good internship or not. There is no calmness during this time as an immense amount of fear is created in them.
Idea I want to help final-year engineering students get internships by giving them clarity on skills, projects, and how to apply.
Solution 1.You have to concentrate on one skill and master it.Dont try everything. 2.Build one small quality project. 3.Apply to 10 companies (don’t wait for perfect) CTA If you’re in your final year and struggling with internships, I’m trying to help people like you.
