What motivates us?

• During Pre-Covid the pattern of education was totally different. We were in the habit of attending the normal offline classes full of fun and excitement. But Covid has taught us that we should be prepared for everything.
• On analyzing how e-learning is going ahead in India, we realized that there is a lot where we can improve.
• The current education system follows the set pattern "Getting good marks → Top colleges → Getting the best jobs ". But do we even realize that we are converting the human mind who can do a lot more to just Bookworms who crawl over the book and get marks?

• We are doing this to provide a safe space for the students to embark on the exciting journey of learning and teaching, without being pulled into the chaos of today's rat-race for success. It feels like the world has taken away the childhood from the child, the curiosity from the curious and the resources from those who need it. And we are building BeyondExams to change this narrative.
• We are doing this because even though so many ed-tech platforms have come into existence in the last decade, the educational divide has never been wider. Access to right educational resources at the right time and age is becoming an increasingly rare commodity even though the Internet has flooded us all with endless possibilities, content and communities.
• We are doing this because illogically large sum of investor money is being spent on advertising by so many for-profit ed-tech platforms and institutions that parents, students and teachers alike are being brainwashed into a competitive rat-race. This kind of educational ecosystem is counter-intuitive. It is not at all in-line with the kind of learning and education we would want our next generation to have.
• We are doing this because we believe that education is a basic human right. Good education should be free-for-all, accessible-to-all, and understandable-by-all. And current scenario seems quite dissatisfactory, even though many commendable educational initiatives are working really hard.
• We are doing this because capitalist agendas and dependence on investor money have made many of today's popular online educational institutions and initiatives cross the ethical boundaries that have served as pillars of what education is supposed to be.
• We are doing this so that we can identify more such problems of what is wrong or what could be improved in the education students today are being exposed to. We aim to, slowly but surely, work with these students, their parents, their teachers and the powerful Internet community to build a better, more wholesome educational ecosystem for our children and the future generations.
• We are doing this to help students rediscover the joy of learning. And we want everyone to be a part of this change. Because it's only together that we can make this a reality.

  <aside> 💡 Access to high quality educational content is becoming a commodity that parents are increasingly being asked to pay for. For-profit institutions have made education a rat-race where students have to compete 24x7 in hopes of becoming the likes of Wolf Gupta (More here: Link).

  While organisations like Khan Academy are trying to provide universal access to good educational resources, personalisation and localisation is getting lost in translation. A student should get options when they are trying to understand the concept. With unbelievably large amounts of talented content creators who have been simplifying studies for students for decades, BeyondExams.org is aiming to curate this free content, and serve it to the students in an easy, intuitive and exciting format through our learning journeys (More here: Link).

• eVidya - BeyondExam's classroom program:

  <aside> 💡 Access to quality education is not enough, the right guidance can be a compelling factor for the young children. Each one of them have unique learning needs which requires a level of personalisation and mentoring that only a Teacher or Mentor can provide.

  Through our classroom program, we aim to not only offer this guidance to the students through our talented on-field educators, we also aim excite these students to continue their learning in a wholistic, hands-on manner.

Education is fundamental to progress—it empowers and uplifts individuals, nations, and society. The pandemic dramatically disrupted the education of students worldwide. But it also provided a glimpse into what learning in the future could look like.

With so much experimentation over the last year, we must uncover what worked. Which schools and teachers were best equipped to deliver virtual learning equitably? Which learning environments enabled students to thrive? How did educators reach those without access to technology? What new skills became a priority for learning and how were those skills taught?
