  2. A standard can clarify validator / delegator voting responsibilities to those who use their services.
  3. By producing a governance standard, the industry as a whole can get ahead of and potentially influence future legal compliance requirements.
  4. A clear governance standard makes life easier for validators, especially as new networks put strains on resources.
  5. Validators currently use a lot of custom, in-house tooling. A standard could support shared, neutral tooling, especially tooling related to governance and reporting.
  6. More generally, a roundtable / neutral industry body can promote shared research and collaborations between competing validator services, and an opportunity to discuss general improvements to proof-of-stake governance.
