As a society, we have increasingly distanced and detached ourselves from the natural world. Industrialization, urbanization, capitalism and technological advances have removed us from the ecosystem we are entrenched in and instead provided us with commodification and convenience.

Rather than viewing ourselves as guardians of the natural world, modern life has separated us from connecting, empathizing and preserving the ecosystems we live in. Because we are less exposed to our natural environment, we are missing out on the symbiotic and kincentric relationship we share with nature. We have been experiencing the negative effects of these modern developments on our wellbeing — and nature itself — for over 150 years.

Our wellbeing and that of the planet are deeply intertwined. This is why in order to create a health planet, we need to first heal ourselves. Our premise is simple: by building a bond with ourselves, we can increase the awareness we have for the planet’s health and develop actionable solutions in improving it.
