Every month, I promise myself I will take a break.
Every month, Toastmasters looks at me and says,
“Nice try. See you at the next meeting.” 😉
Because let’s be honest; in a world full of work calls, grocery lists, school runs, Netflix temptations, and WhatsApp family groups that never sleep… Toastmasters is somehow the one commitment we actually keep.
And for good reasons.
Nowhere. Absolutely nowhere.
Try doing a Table Topic at home, your family will either walk away or hand you the broom.
Only at Toastmasters can you speak anything, about anything, and still receive applause like you delivered a TED Talk.
Ah-Um-Ah.
At work, they judge you.
At Toastmasters, they count it… and then lovingly remind you that you said 10 ahs in 90 seconds.
Where else will someone be so committed to your improvement?
(And still smile about it.)
Try telling relatives, “I am the VP Education.”
They will blink, nod politely, and ask you if you have had dinner.
