The Collective Wave has 2 years of history but many more of experience.
It all started with an ambitious idea, a vision for the future sparked in the city of Bristol, UK but spread beyond the boundaries of the city in which it was initiated.
Our main goal is to establish a movement bigger than ourselves to empower individuals in taking action on important and challenging social issues in today’s world.

📣 Presentation Deck - Who we are
It all started in 2024, when Yasmin, James, Hannah and Carl came together to think about innovative approaches to the complex and challenging issues in Bristol. The group then was part of the Systems Innovation Network, a global community of individuals that learn and talk about innovation in a systemic way. It was a year and a half of activities that opened up our eyes to the real and practical opportunities that lie in the region of Bristol but also beyond those boundaries
In 2025, the group decided to become independent and establish local relationships with local initiatives, develop projects and foster partnerships.

The Launch Event was our first ever public event which brought together individuals from Bristol and local regions to know about our group, understand our mission and vision for the future and establish our name as a new project emerging in the context.
The Socials are periodic events we create to bring our community together. These are very diverse in format and topics but with one thing in common: an opportunity to increase our bound and to have a good time together.

The Book Interviews are online events where we interview book authors across the world who have been active in writing and participating in the area of systems innovation and thinking, complexity science and more. This is always a great opportunity to learn new ideas and theories and connect with like-minded individuals.
The Learning Sessions are weekly opportunities for us to learn together - it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, there is a way for you to learn the ideas behind what moves us and creates the foundations for everything we are doing.
