There are a few different ways you can control who can see and join your home.
When you create a new home, you can set its discoverability and whether people can freely join or need to be approved.
A public home is discoverable in the app and anyone can join.
A private home is discoverable in the app, but people will need to request to join and be approved.
A secret home is totally off the grid. It's not discoverable in the app and can only be accessed via an invite.
You can also change the "Discoverability" and the "Require Approval" toggle after you've created your home if you change your mind.
When "Allow Discovery" is on, Geneva users can discover the home from within the app itself. Note: this is different from who can invite people.
When "Require Approval" is on, anyone who gets your invite link can get to your "front door" and request to join - at which point you'll be notified and will have the option to approve or deny them.
Note: You can use "Require Approval" in tandem with a New Member Survey to create an 'application' to join your home (set up a series of questions that you require new members to answer that'll help you decide if they're a good fit for your group or not).
