Preparations

• Set up a Meta Developer Account and a Meta developer app
• In the App Dashboard, select the app you want to connect with WhatsApp, then scroll down to find the “WhatsApp” product, and click “Set up”

How to complete the integration

Step 1

After you set up the WhatsApp product, you will see WhatsApp in the menu in the left.

Go to the Getting Started Page, and copy the Phone number ID.

<aside> 💡 You can first use the test phone number. However, when you are ready to go live in a production use case, you need to use YOUR OWN PHONE NUMBER to send messages to the users. → If the phone number changes, the Phone number ID will also change, so make sure you edit the Phone number ID on the PinChat Dashboard as well)

Then, paste it to the PinChat dashboard.

Step 2 & Step 3

Copy the Webhook URL in the PinChat Dashboard

Then go to the Configuration Page, find Webhook, click Edit to paste the URL to the Callback URL input field.

For the “Verify token” under the Callback URL, you can enter any value. This verify token is mainly used for authorization if you need to edit the Callback URL.
