WhatsApp is a free application that allows users to send texts, voice messages, voice calls, video calls, and share images or documents.

WhatsApp Setup

  1. To start using WhatsApp, you need to install the app from the Play Store.
  2. Search ‘WhatsApp Messenger’ on the Play Store and Click Install.
  3. Once installed, it will ask you to choose your preferred language.

  1. Next, you’ll see a page titled "Link as companion device." If you’re already using WhatsApp on another phone, you can simply scan the QR code from that phone to use the same account on this tablet.
  2. However, if this is your first time using WhatsApp, tap the three dots in the top-right corner and select "Register new account."

  1. Select the United States as your country and enter your phone number. A verification code will be sent to your phone. After entering the code, your number will be verified.
  2. You’ll then be asked to enter your name. WhatsApp will also request permission to access your contacts and photos, you can allow these. Once done, you’ll be directed to the home screen where you’ll see tabs like "Chats," "Updates," "Communities," and "Calls."

Using WhatsApp

To start a new chat, go to "Chats" and tap the green box with the “+” sign in the middle. You can create a new group, start a chat with a new contact, or even chat with AI.

To make a call on WhatsApp, tap the green call icon in the lower-right corner and select "Call a number."

Note: The other person must also be using WhatsApp. If not, you can invite them by clicking "Invite a Friend."

You can explore news and updates by clicking on the "Updates" tab. There, you can follow channels or post a status.
