ElectricNoir is a venture-scale game studio.

Before we founded ElectricNoir and raised institutional investment, the world of venture capital was pretty obscure to us.

Allow us to briefly outline what it means to raise venture capital as opposed to other forms of investment – and why that should factor into your decision to join us!

A company can only raise venture capital if they can convince a VC they have billion dollar potential.

Venture capital is all about outsized returns. Whilst an 'angel investor' would be pleased with x10 return on their investment, a VC firm would consider that falling short – venture capitalists are targeting x100 or even x1000 return.

Companies that deliver on returns of that magnitude are known in VC speak as 'unicorns' – and unicorns are what fuels the whole venture capital enterprise.

Our VC’s believe ElectricNoir can become a Unicorn company

Moonfire Ventures & Vgames have led major rounds of venture capital into ElectricNoir.

Both are veteran VC’s who have invested into several start-ups that have gone onto to become billion dollar companies – such as Klarna, Supercell & Peakon.

They believe that ElectricNoir has this potential – to transform the media content industry with our scalable, accessible and immersive interactive format. To deliver on the intersection of film & games.

Your job is not working for an indie game studio, but building a venture-scale company

When a company takes venture capital they are committing themselves to rapid scale and growth. In the case of ElectricNoir, we are aiming to rapidly scale out interactive content in our phone-first format to become a powerhouse entertainment platform.

It's important to understand the scale of these ambitions and ask if they fit within yours.

There are many interesting roles available in the games industry. However, few will be as high-intensity a learning experience as being among the first 20 employees in a venture-scale startup.
