You should always assume that it is COVID-19, if you have any of the symptoms related to COVID-19.

1. Inform LifeX immediately If a member is suspected or tested positive for COVID, let LifeX know straight away by reaching out to [email protected] including the following information:

a. when did you suspect signs of being positive?

b. when did you get tested? (or plan to)

c. when did you get your positive results? (if you got them)

d. what actions did you take in the meantime of being suspicious until you got results? (ie. have you been self-isolating, have you informed housemates, what actions have they taken?)

If you are in Denmark and tested positive, please reach out to 32 32 05 11 and read here about voluntary out-of-home quarantine facilities.

We will need to inform the other members of the apartment immediately explaining quarantine guidelines, as well as notifying how we proceed with cleaning service (as they could be at risk of contaminating others, changes will most likely be made).

Please don't hesitate to reach out even if you are not sure and/or the test results have not arrived yet. We will help guide you and the house on the next steps.

2. Contact your doctor Seek advice on wether you need to be tested or not. Unless your doctor says not to, you can contact your local health authority as well to seek advice on country specific regulations regarding testing (let us know if they do not speak English and you need help).

****While waiting for the test results, you should always assume that you are positive and start the quarantine procedure.

3. Usual quarantine procedure:

Note: This can vary based on the country you are in, so ask Sascha when you reach out. ****

The first member in the household who has symptoms of coronavirus must stay at home for 7 days, but all other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days. The 14-day period starts from the day when the first person in the house became ill.

Still having questions about the timeline? Read this article.

During quarantine, everyone is asked to stay in their room as much as possible and only into the shared spaces unless necessary (go to the bathroom, prepare food, collect post and deliveries).

During quarantine, it will not be possible to have cleaning service to protect the cleaning staff and prevent further contamination. We have created a detailed manual on what to do in terms of cleaning when cleaners are unable to visit.

Please note that it is likely that members living within the apartment can be infected. Staying at home for 14 days will help control the spread of the virus to friends, the wider community, and particularly the most vulnerable.

Note: We are strictly following the health authority guidelines: Public Health UK, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and World Health Organization.
