International Standard Recording Codes (ISRCs) are the international identification system used for sound recordings.

ISRCs are not only required, they are important to have as they are tracked by SoundScan for potential Billboard charting, and also by the RIAA when calculating album equivalents.

If you are releasing new content through Stem, we can assign you one. Just let us know by checking the ISRC box in the Metadata section of the upload flow.

If you have previously released your content digitally, you already have unique ISRCs for those. If you are having trouble finding your ISRCs, you should be able to obtain them by contacting your distributor.
