A Decision Designer is a new kind of consultant who reads the emotional logic behind your choices — and helps you rewire your system from within.
The idea of “Decision Designer” wasn’t taken from a job board.
It came from a personal realisation: that true design doesn’t just shape products, it shapes choices.
That most teams don’t lack information — they lack clarity.
And that the way we talk often reveals the way we decide.
This is where discursive psychology enters:
A research framework that analyses how people reveal intentions, doubts, and inefficiencies through language — even when they’re unaware of it themselves.
This work was first articulated in my reflective essay at AMBS, where I outlined my long-term career direction and supported it with academic research. In other words: Decision Designer is not a trend. It’s a trajectory.
