📌 What Are Apps?

Apps (applications) are programs that allow you to perform specific tasks on your tablet, such as:

âś… Sending emails (Gmail)

âś… Watching videos (YouTube)

âś… Finding directions (Google Maps)

âś… Paying bills or banking online (Chase, PayPal, or Cash App)

Apps can be free or paid and are downloaded from an App Store (Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy Store).

Note: To download applications, you will need to be logged into your account on your device.

Where to Download Apps: App Stores

📌 Apps should always be downloaded from official stores to avoid viruses or scams.

âś… How to Download an App:

  1. Open the Google Play Store (shopping bag icon ▶️).
  2. Tap the search bar and type the app name (e.g., "WhatsApp").
  3. Select the app and tap Install (or Get if it’s free).
  4. Wait for the download to complete, then tap Open.

Creating a Google account

A Google account is required to download from Google Play store.  A Google account enables you to do the following: Download and install applications on Google Play. Synchronize your email, contacts, and calendar using Gmail.

How to add a Google account to your device

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap Accounts
  3. Tap Add account
  4. Select Google
  5. Follow the instructions to add your account
