Rooted in the Korean philosophy of 무위조화 (Muwi Jowa) — effortless harmony — the work here is built on a simple belief: that through quiet observation, we are gently returned to ourselves.
Each piece captures the poetry of stillness — sunlit warmth, soft silhouettes, fleeting moments of light and shadow. Not constructed. Observed. Art as a practice of presence.

I’m a South Korean artist working across photography and painting.
Rooted in nearly two decades of creative practice, my work explores the quiet balance — where human and nature, light and shadow, stillness and movement rest together naturally.
Through Atelier, I create art as a gentle invitation to slow down, observe, and reconnect with everyday stillness.

My work has since been deepened by years of living across Asia and Europe — between the meditative silence of Japan, the slow beauty of Italy, and the rhythm of everyday life in between.
Each place left something behind. Japan, a deeper stillness. Italy, a warmth for the unhurried and the alive. Together, they shaped a practice that moves between the inner world and the outer one — always looking for where the two quietly meet.

At the heart of my art is the Korean philosophy of Muwi Jowa (무위조화) — effortless harmony — a belief that through quiet observation in nature, we are gently returned to ourselves.
My work embodies Goyo (고요), a meditative stillness where forms settle gently into their surroundings and nothing demands more than it gives.

Working across photography and digital painting, I explore the scenes where diverse beings rest together without force: human and nature, light and shadow, stillness and movement.
Rather than constructing scenes, I observe them — waiting for the moment when something quietly reveals itself.
Through this practice, I create art as a gentle invitation to slow down, soften the gaze, and reconnect with the quiet that already surrounds us.
