Satoshi's Library aims to deepen the learning of Bitcoin and the Lightning Network. The Satoshi’s Library is an Open Source Project and community project.

The methodology is decentralized and "peer to peer" but we will host master conferences with Bitcoin and LN developers.

Premises

• Without a doubt, Bitcoin is the safest, most decentralized and most likely protocol to revolutionize the world's financial system.
• Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world, only after Mandarin..
• The Latin and Spanish community is one of the warmest in the Bitcoin Community.

Motives

• The Latin American and Caribbean region together with Spain have excellent human capital and talent to develop professional talent. However, still today -Febreuary 2021- there is no Bitcoin Core Developer or someone who is part of Bitcoin Design who was born and raised in our region.

• This is going to change! We want to create a safe space to learn about Bitcoin so that many people and young people get closer to Bitcoin

  🎯 Objectives & Goals

  Short Term - Next 3 months -

  • Strengthen the Bitcoin community in Spanish.
  • Create a safe space for Latinos to hone their technical and hands-on knowledge within Bitcoin and LN.
  • Create learning activities for the community and by the community.
    • Starting for the following socratics seminars named study groups:
      • Mastering Bitcoin
      • Mastering Lightning
      • Programming Bitcoin
      • BOLTs
  • Generate content in Spanish; tutorials, videos, etc.
    • Hands-on Workshops such as
      • Run your own Bitcoin node
      • Bitcoin Core and testing
      • Run your Lightning node

  Medium Term - Next 6 months -

  • Have at least two developer bootcamps in the next 6 months. One in English and later translated the material in Spanish
  • Connect Latino talent with startups to get their first internship or first paid job.
  • Channel talent to the ChainCode Labs seminars, Summer in Bitcoin, etc.
  • Support participants with their applications in English, for example grants, job interviews.

  Long Term - More than a year -

  • Channel talent to the ChainCode Labs residency.

  • Have a pool of companies and startups that in partnership with us to hire talent from Libreria de Satoshi.

  • More than two years-

  Have Bitcoin core developers from Latin America and the Caribbean LAC

  Be able to give our first grant to a developer in our Region.
