Clinical Case Summary: Recurrent Focal Episodes
Patient Age: 22
Location: India
Date of Report: April 11, 2026
1. Primary Complaint: Intense "Déjà Rêvé" & Trance States
I am experiencing sudden, intrusive episodes characterized by the sensation of "recollecting a past weird dream" (Déjà Rêvé). These are not standard déjà vu; they feel like I am briefly entering a trance or a "dreamy state."
Episode Characteristics
- Duration: 45–60 seconds per event.
- Aura/Pre-ictal: Sudden onset of dream-like recollection.
- Mental State: Thoughts feel "automatic," similar to a movie playing. I feel a strong desire to stay in the state to "fine-tune" the memory.
- Emotion: Significant sense of euphoria or bliss during the episode.
- Awareness: I remain conscious and can technically respond, though I feel a strong urge not to be disturbed.
- Post-Episode: Brief confusion and questioning of the event, but immediate physical recovery to "normal."
2. Frequency and Progression
- Onset: Started approximately 12 -16months ago (2025).
- Current Frequency: Daily or every two days (increased frequency than previous few months previous).
- Triggers: Episodes might be highly correlated with chronic sleep deprivation and stress or something more which I was unable to share
