What was done

Ran the weekly cache clear on Sams-MacBook-Pro-3 at 02:06 EDT via Desktop Commander host-shell (the only path that can mutate the Mac filesystem in unattended mode).

• Reclaimed ~4.71 GiB (5.06 GB) across 16 safe, regenerable caches. Boot-container free space went 170.2 → 174.9 GiB; capacity 13% → 12%.
• df delta (+4.69 GiB) matched the measured reclaim almost exactly — clean release, minimal open-handle lag this week.
• Trash was already empty (0 items).
• Top caches cleared: Chrome 1,189 MB · ms-playwright 996 MB · VS Code CachedExtensionVSIXs 791 MB · Perplexity 773 MB · Apple textunderstandingd 301 MB · CloudKit 285 MB · SiriTTS 261 MB.
• Method: recreate-empty-dir with du -sk before/after; protected-path guard (Music|Photos|photolibrary|AddressBook|Contacts) held; preserve list honored.
• Preserved on purpose: Music, Contacts/AddressBook, Photos, claude-cli-nodejs (91 MB), and ~/Library/Caches/Codex (24 MB) — the last two are active coding-agent state for other agents Sam runs.

Notable

• CloudKit dropped from 6.95 GB (last week) to 285 MB — last week's watch item resolved on its own; no >6 GB recurrence, so the container-breakdown step was correctly skipped.
• Perplexity (ai.perplexity.macv3, 773 MB) is a new top-4 cache; added as a target this run.
• Chrome was running, so its directory was busy: the rm -rf errored after freeing the contents; a tolerant contents-delete confirmed 0 residual. ~1.16 GiB still freed, no data lost.

Reclaimed 4.71 GiB is well under the 30 GB threshold, so no warning flag.
