Goals —

What were your goals for this week?

Our goals this week were to speak with David Schaal And Jill Van Matre to get feedback on our process and our future steps for our generative art strategy.

Another goals was to have better understanding with our coding with processing and p5.js. Taking through notes about each lines of code. Also to find other pieces of art that we could possibly implement with our sound designs.

Another goals was to work on our website mockups.

What did you accomplish, please reflect on your time management. What worked or didn't?

We got in touch with David Schaal, and we got positive insight into the possibility of using Youtube API , and or Spotify API as a option for user to pull a song and use it with our generative art designs.

We also got to meet with Jill Van Matre, who gave us some feed back that our design for mainstream music could be a strong possibility for legal use. However, she cant fully advise us and will help us in the near future to follow through with a lawyer who is of practice with these types of issues.

How did you integrate feedback?

We plan to work forward with making these generative art designs and adding a creative style to them that goes together with the sound.

We plan to meet up with Jill Van Matre in the future to go over our legal situation again. If mainstream music is not a possibility due to the idea that we are selling products that are manipulating the sound with art. - Then our plan b would to use these sounds for users to convey voice messages to generate a piece of art with our styles.
