Week 1 Progress Update

Cyber Republic - Elastos

For Week 2, Vulcan Link's focus has been on making Reference Data contracts easily accessible to the Elastos community through elastos.feeds.link. We've also continued discussions with node operator partners, one of whom is already live and others who are in the process of deploying their Elastos enabled Chainlink nodes.

Elastos Reference Contracts

This fork of the Chainlink Reference UI connects directly to the Testnet Elastos Ethereum Sidechain at https://rpc.elaeth.io. The code is also opensource and available at https://github.com/vulcanlink/chainlink/tree/chainlink-elastos.

The current ELA / USD feed is updated every hour and fetches data from coingecko and coinmarketcap. Additional operators will be given alternative APIs (including a direct Huobi adapter) to ensure resiliency of the feeds.

On-chain Contracts

As new operators get on-boarded, they will each deploy their own Oracle contract. We might also see the emergence of additional Aggregator contracts for new feeds. These can now be found at

Elastos Oracles

Note that in the future this data will likely be migrated to a public Github to enable better collaboration.

New Operators: Introducing Secure Data Links

We're ecstatic to introduce the first operator (after Vulcan Link 😉) to be live on the Elastos Testnet: Secure Data Links. Secure Data Links has been operating many of the Chainlink Ethereum Reference Contracts for almost a year now. They are an experienced and trusted node operator which will greatly contribute to the bootstrapping of oracles on Elastos Sidechains.

Their team is based in Autstralia which therefore also contributes to the geographic decentralization of the future oracle network on Elastos. France, Australia, which country do you think the next live operator will be based in?

A couple other existing Chainlink node operators have also confirmed to us that they are actively working on deploying their own Elastos Sidechain enabled Chainlink nodes. We also welcome any company already working with Elastos to reach out if they are considering branching out into the oracle node operator business.
