So you've had an introduction to the topics of Regenerative Futures and Creative Research Methods. You've been on an excursion to each region and by the time you're reading this, you should have been assigned to one with your new team. For your first content-related exercise, we're gonna get you to practice using Creative Action Research through Design (C.A.R.D) on yourself.

1. Reading

  1. Read pages 4-6 and any 2 case studies found near the end of this document.

2. Doing

  1. Write a case summary of 300-500 words on the region you are working on based on what you know so far about your region.

  2. What do you see as the biggest challenges and/or design dilemmas for a regenerative future in this case at the moment? Describe this in 100-200 words. For this exercise, center it around how you personally envision a regenerative future in your region.

  3. Select five methods, one from each category, that take you through each phase of the Theory U model and describe how you are going to use them to explore your dilemma. Note: you may have to adapt them for use with yourself, you can also ask others to do this with you.

  4. Do the workshop that you have just designed for yourself!

  5. Harvest the results - Take pictures or screenshots of the results of each of the phases of your workshop and add those below.

  1. Reflecting

Now we're asking you to reflect about how the whole exercise was for you. Then upload the map as well as a 300-500 words description of the main findings below:
