What was unexpected / what lessons did you learn? It was really unexpected that the YouTube API failed us. We learned that working with music has its challenges, along with integrating various APIs into our project.

What were your goals for this week?

This week, we spent all of our time trying to figure out how to integrate various APIs.

What did you accomplish, please reflect on your time management. What worked or didn't?

We figured out a lot of helpful things along the way that we didn’t even think we would encounter. We were able to integrate the YouTube API but realized after implementing it, that music videos are subject to copyright, and therefore blocked for embedding onto sites.

How did you integrate feedback?

We integrated feedback from various experts we talked to, and are pivoting to using a different service, such as Spotify, Soundcloud, etc.

What was unexpected / what lessons did you learn? It was really unexpected that the YouTube API failed us. We learned that working with music has its challenges, along with integrating various APIs into our project.

As we mentioned above, we tried to integrate the YouTube API into a p5.js sketch so we could connect it into our generative art piece.
