A favicon is a small square image that represents a website in web browsers. Browsers show favicons in tabs and address bars, which helps to add context and brand awareness to individual sites. Typically, favicons feature a logo or an image that indicates the website it represents. For GS1 websites, a precomposed GS1 favicon may be installed using the steps on this page.

Installation

First, download the favicon image files. They have been collected in a folder and compressed into a .zip archive which can be downloaded here:

gs1_favicons.zip

This .zip archive contains multiple icon image files. As different browsers and devices are best served by different favicon formats, it is recommended to include multiple versions of the favicon on your website.

Next, uncompress the .zip file, open the folder and place the following files in the root directory of your website:
