I worked with web and UX design studio Pixel on a full site redesign for Dublin City Council Arts Office. This involved a full content audit, as well as new and inventive microcopy to support user journeys.
The main challenge was bringing together a lot of disparate content strands and giving them a unifying visual identity, as well as one tone of voice.
I reviewed all existing content for quality, consistency, and appropriateness to target audience, then carried out an audit to promote clear messaging, editing and adding new content along the way.
I reviewed all new content provided by the client for quality, consistency, and clarity of message. I created new messaging for homepage slides and filled content gaps between existing and new site layouts, such as page introductions, headers, new pages, and e-zine signups and form acknowledgement pages.
I created copy for the user journey for the application procedure, as well as for the update details pages in the copy directory. I also tidied the language throughout the forms, reviewed them for usability, and added helpful hints and error messages.
The website redesign and build was delivered on time, to a happy client. Content and copy supported journeys and delivered key messages at the right points in an on-brand way.
