We're not hiring Generalists. We're hiring people with significant skews. People who are especially good at one thing that they do. We're building the future at CreatorOS.
We want to work with people who describe themselves as Hackers, Resourceful, Adventurer, Creator and a Good Time Manager. All of them at once. We've written more about the kind of people we want to work with. It is kind of a required reading for this post. So please take a couple of minutes to see what we mean by the terms I just threw at you.
What we care about at CreatorOS - the kind of team we're building
Broadly we want to work with you if you identify yourself as a person that checks off all the boxes and are particularly good with one skill .
I want to re-iterate that we don't want to hire generalists. We're too small for generalists. We want people who're great at what they do and help us mitigate a company risk that we were previously not well equipped to handle.
You must identify yourself as the best person you know at X at your level of experience. Are you the best hacker you know? Are you the best product person you know? Are you the best sales person you know?
At the same time, you must not be self delusional. You need to be really good. That's the bar the rest of the team has set.
We want to have more people taking shots at this problem we're trying to solve. We're trying to build a business model for the next decade. We are early, we don't have answers but we believe the creator-as-entrepreneurs market will explode. We need people who'll help us achieve that goal faster. We are open to the how's - we're firm on the what (ie. growth).
We need to capture the market. We need to do it quickly. We speedup humanity towards a more equitable way of employment. We need to use the internet to make it an economic leveler it has always promised to be. We want to enable more people to run their own business and create more good things in the universe.
The team consists of people who've done it all - started companies, grown them, raised capital for them, and sold them.
