Criteria
This criteria aims to define what we are looking for the in grant applications and why particular grants will be accepted or denied.
Technical
- Technical grants should not act as vehicle for personal wealth generation
- Building on Lyra does not provide a certainty of funding or endorsement by the DAO without explicit consent from Grants council
- The goal of grants is to enable monetary relief for the creation of useful, expandable and/or novel applications on top of the Lyra protocol
- how does your application aim to achieve this.
- Is it decentralised, permissionless and onchain
- if its off chain why? can this be technically justified
- If a technical grant is not built on top of the AMM, you must define a strategy for deployment and it must be shown to be a simple deploy to the required platform.
- e.g If you need a cloud server are you going to provide this or will the dao need to?
- Is the code professional standard? is it secure? is it something that should be trusted with user funds
- Can this be achieved without continuous and erroneous reliance on CC’s to achieve?
Social
- Must be able to demonstrate that this will grow the Lyra brand
- how will it do this sustainability
Community
- Community grants can and should aim to draw attention to the community or encouraging involvement from current community members.
- Some key considerations before applying
- Is this a cost effective use of funds
- Will it reach beyond current community members
- What are the man hours required to make this work
- What kind of organisation is required to make the project work
